Health requirements

There is a health inspection, which will be required prior to check in. Owner/agent must have proof of cat’s vaccination and health, which will be checked. Cats and kittens coming from EU Member States outside of Finland need a valid EU pet passport. The requirements for the cats and kittens outside of EU Member States are posted on EVIRA website.

Kittens under age of four months are not permitted in the show hall. All cats and kittens must be immunized against feline panleukopenia, feline rhinotracheitis and calici virus and are recommend to be tested negative for feline leukemia.

The TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging. Cats showing any signs of illness or parasites (including fleas) or fungus will not be permitted in the show hall. If at any time during the show, any cat or kitten is disqualified for illness or parasites, all other entries from the same owner, household or cattery and all cats for whom the exhibitor is agent shall be automatically disqualified, and the agent’s own cats shall also be disqualified. Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within 21 days prior to the opening date of the show is ineligible for entry and/or exhibition.
